The Struble home uses another green architecture technique. Sometimes called the rammed-earth style, it's correctly referred to as the PISE method: Pneumatically Impacted Stabilized Earth. This construction creates earth/cement walls eighteen-inches thick!

The Boush strawbale home was built in northern San Luis Obispo county by Paragon Designs. The three bedroom, three bath, 2400 square foot home is designed for complete passive solar heating and cooling.
